Berta Nogueiro Estevinho"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignwide has-tertiary-background-color has-background is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Universidade do\u00a0Porto, PORTUGAL<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns alignwide is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-1 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:30%\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"282\" height=\"283\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iceem.tuiasi.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/estevinho.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2101\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.iceem.tuiasi.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/estevinho.jpg 282w, https:\/\/www.iceem.tuiasi.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/estevinho-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 282px) 100vw, 282px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Dr. Berta Nogueiro Estevinho is currently Associate Professor at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), Portugal. &nbsp;She graduated in Chemical Engineering (2003), with a master in Environmental Engineering (2005) and a PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering (2010), at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She was a postdoctoral researcher at LEPABE-FEUP (Laboratory for Process Engineering, Environment, Biotechnology and Energy) and IBMC (Institute for Molecular and Cell Biology), developing her research focused on enzymatic mechanisms and microencapsulation of enzymes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2014, she is Integrated Member at LEPABE, being a leading researcher in the field of microencapsulation, namely using physical microencapsulation methodologies such as spray drying and electrohydrodynamic techniques, for food and therapeutic applications. Her research focus in 3 main fields of microencapsulation: vitamins and their derivates, namely retinoic acid applied in the treatment of Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia, enzymes and peptides and natural antioxidants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She participated in several projects, and She has numerous national and international collaborations (Spain, France, Germany, Brazil, Romania, Iran and Thailand). She has more than 86 publications on Scopus, that have been cited over 3500 times, having an H-index of 33.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She was invited reviewer of different international funds programs (France, Belgium, Chile, Argentina and Poland), member of the scientific committee Editor and guest editor of several special Issues and Journals. &nbsp;She received several Scientific Recognition Awards. In 2022 and 2023, She belonged to the List of the \u201cWorld\u2019s Top 2% Scientists &#8211; Stanford University\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At ICEEM13 Prof.dr.
