POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY OF BARI, ITALY

PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Sabino De Gisi is senior researcher at thew Politecnico di Bari (Italy) where he teaches Technologies for Environmental Protection at the degree course in Civil and Environmental Engineering. He is deputy coordinator of the degree course in Civil and Environmental Engineering and member of the PhD council in Risk and Environmental, Territorial and Building development at the Politecnico di Bari. His research activities are in the field of waste recycling and development of waste-derived materials where he is author of more than 140 scientific products. He has been speaker at
more than 70 international and national conferences and has more than 2800 citations (H-index 21, Scopus). He works as consultant for leading international and Italian companies in the field of environmental protection technologies.

At ICEEM12 dr. De Gisi will deliver a keynote lecture in the field of Waste management in the context of circular (bio)economy, entitled:
