Prof.dr. Florica Manea

PolItechnica University of TIMISOARA, Romania

Florica Manea is currently Environmental Engineering Habilitated Professor and head of the Research Centre of Environmental Science and Engineering at the Politehnica University of Timisoara, Romania.

Her research is focused on the design of the electrode materials and the electrolysis cell configurations for the developing electrochemical processes to be applied in non-conventional and advanced water treatment and process control by electrochemical sensors development.

She has published around 200 research papers in ISI-ranked and other international databases journals, three Romanian patents and three national invention requests, with the Hirsch index of 22 (according to Scopus). She is author/co-author for 15 books and book chapters in national and international publishing houses, dedicated to the electrode materials, electrochemical techniques/processes and environmental engineering. She has got several national and international grants related to development of innovative electrochemical process for water treatment, sensor development, water quality monitoring, advanced water treatment and sustainable management of water resources.

She serves also, as scientific evaluator and member of panels of experts of various national and international governmental and nongovernmental agencies, guest editor for ISI-ranked  journals (Applied Sciences, Water and Chemosensors), peer reviewer for more than 10 ISI-ranked journals, member of scientific committees of various international congresses, workshops and other scientific events.

At ICEEM12, Prof.dr. Florica Manea will deliver a keynote lecture on:
